A relaxing Sunday TSD Touring Rally running entirely on paved roads. Perfect for any car and any skill level. New to rallying? First touring rally? Not to worry, we'll be offering a free Novice Workshop that will provide you with everything you need to know. Date: Sunday, April 27, 2003 Rallymaster's Summary: I'd like to thanks everyone for coming who came out to this year's Raindrop Rally! It was an awesome event with a good crowd of competitors and great weather. We had 43 teams driving and navigating some fun twisty roads south of Tacoma. The workers make the events happen and I'd like to thank all of the workers. They did a great job! The weather was mostly clear with some low clouds to the east blocking our views of Mt. Rainier but we were very happy to hav the views we did. Competition was tight in most classes and we'd like to congratulate Gary Reid and Steve Richards who with their trusty Curta calculator finished in first place overall followed by Pat Biggar and Bob Sjodin in second and Monte Saager and Victoria Saager in third overall. One of the event highlights was a visit to Mud Mountain Dam. From a vista point rallyists were able to observe part of the dam structure and the glacier fed river that is controlled by the dam. Thanks again for everyone who came out. I hope everyone had as much fun with the event as we did! Results Summary:

This 25minute workshop will cover everything from an introduction to TSD Touring Rally to tips and tricks for bringing home at least one guaranteed zero. Optional Section: Like gravel? Well, we hav a little treat for you. This year we've added a short optional gravel section to the event. There is no penalty for taking or not taking the gravel detour (except for skipping some tight twisty fun if you stay on tarmac). The optional unpaved section is generally smooth but with some medium potholes. This is a good way to get a small taste of dirt and gravel.
