"Ghouls & Goblins Rally"
This route went to Maple Valley, via Coalfield Park (East Renton), Tiger Mountain Rd, and Cedar Grove Rd for the first leg. Leg two took the route through Ravensdale and out toward Selleck. Leg three made a large loop South toward Enumclaw, via Enumclaw-Franklin Rd; and returning through Black Diamond and Ravensdale, to end near the Maple Valley finish location. The route was 77 miles and 2-1/2 hours. The finish was at Farrelli's Pizza in Maple Valley.
An alleged one mile error in official mileage, caused leg two to not be scored. It was later determined that the route mileage was correct, and that the competitor had made themselves victim of an unintentional 'trap'; thereby shortcutting the established course by one mile.
There were 21 competitors, 20 finishers.
