Garmina

Rainier Auto Sports Club presents an all-new event in GPS rally format. You'll seek out pre-defined locations and drive some scenic rural roads along the way. Garmina Shrugs requires no special equipment other than a GPS receiver of any make or model. All roads will be paved and any vehicle is acceptable, even motorcycles. You can run solo but a navigator is highly recommended to help plan the most efficient route. There is no limit to the number of passengers (or pets) in each vehicle.

You will be given a series of questions, the answers to which will be found at the GPS geographic coordinates shown for each question and will serve to validate your arrival at the specified waypoint. All coordinates will be within an area bounded roughly by Monroe in the north, Issaquah in the south, Bellevue in the west and Carnation in the east. Once released from the start you are on your own to attack the course any way you see fit. The goal is to visit as many waypoints as possible in the allowed time. It will be difficult, if not impossible, to visit all the waypoints within the time limit. At each waypoint you will answer a question based on a sign or object visible at that waypoint to validate the visit. After you've collected as many as possible, get to the finish before time runs out for scores and trophies. Scores will be based on point values given to the questions. Other than waypoints to visit there are no checkpoints and you will carry no car number.
